Product Information
The Rasor model FP120SM is the most powerful cutting unit that Rasor have ever produced. This pneumatic cutting unit is designed for use with textiles, including lofty and multi-layer work. It is also ideal for cutting tough composite materials such as glass fibre, carbon fibre, and Kevlar.
The air compressed motor is wholly made by Rasor. Thanks to the latest generation mechanical and pneumatic components, the exceptional turbine reaches a power of 800 W at 15.500 RPM and a very high torque.
Recently developed, this model stands out due to the new geometry of the motor housing of Monster series. The FP120SM has the motor housing held by a central foot fitted behind the blade in central position. This system spreads the shearing stress and the necessary pressure to move the machine through the fabrics on both sides of the cutter, ensuring that the cut is perfectly straight and smooth.
The knife is half-free on both sides to avoid winding problems even with tough fibres. It has a diameter of 120 mm and octagonal blade (8-edges) which allows the cutting of any kind of material at the “flexible stage” up to a cutting thickness of 50mm. To keep things running smoothly, there is a push button sharpening stone which allows the knife edge to be sharpened in less than 10 seconds without needing to be removed. The high torque and the slow speed of the knife allow the cutting of rubber material with a plastic base for applications such as trimming carpet and light flooring.
The FP120SM is especially well-suited to transversal cutting and work in small spaces. It is arranged with an anchor flange so is easy to fit on a fixed or automatic stirrup. The Teflon® coated aluminium base reduces friction between the foot and the material, allowing easy forward movement even when installed on sliding rails.
For the continuous trimming process FP120SM is also available in left right version (specular) as model FP120M.
